Plain-language terms — what you can do, what you can't, and what we owe each other. Last updated June 2026.
CitiQuest is a real-world quest app — pick sidequests in your city, submit proof, earn XP, climb leaderboards. By signing up or using CitiQuest you agree to these terms. If you don't, don't use the app.
These terms are between you and CitiQuest. "We", "us", or "our" means CitiQuest. "You" means you, the person using the app.
You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens on your account. If someone else gets into your account, email us immediately at privacy@citiquest.app.
We can suspend or delete your account at any time if you break these terms. We'll try to give you notice first unless the violation is serious or immediate.
XP, streaks, badges, and leaderboard positions are in-app metrics — they have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money, goods, or services outside CitiQuest. We can adjust, reset, or remove them at any time if they were obtained through cheating or a platform error.
Any promotional rewards (discounts, vouchers, partner perks) are governed by the specific terms of that promotion.
The CitiQuest name, logo, quest designs, and original content are ours. These terms don't give you any right to use our branding or intellectual property outside the app.
If you build something with CitiQuest data or branding (fan art, integrations, write-ups) and want to share it, ask first at privacy@citiquest.app.
CitiQuest is provided as-is. We don't guarantee the app will always be available, error-free, or that every quest will be perfectly calibrated.
Real-world quests carry real-world risk. Going outside, riding transport, visiting unfamiliar places — you do these at your own risk. CitiQuest is not liable for injury, theft, or any harm that occurs while completing a quest.
We're not responsible for third-party businesses featured in quests — their availability, prices, hygiene, or conduct.
To the extent permitted by law, CitiQuest's liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to CitiQuest in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) ₦5,000.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost data, lost XP, or missed quests.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute you can't resolve with us directly will be handled in Nigerian courts.
We'll post updates here and bump the date below. For material changes we'll give at least 14 days' notice by email or in-app message. If you keep using CitiQuest after the notice period, you've accepted the new terms.
